From the new power source files come this incredible story.

Its seems a US cancer researcher and engineer inventor has stumbled onto the discovery that a simple radio frequency generator (RFG) will release the Hydrogen & Oxygen contained in salt water sufficient to sustain a 1500 degree centigrade flame.

A beam from the same RFG would allow your hand to pass through it without harm - but ignite a vial of salt-water - and you have a power source that could compress air or drive steam sufficient to potentially power a passenger vehicle - and all from two of the most plentiful components of our planet: salt and water.

To give you some idea of how significant a discovery this is, here are examples of other combustion temperatures in comparison (temperatures are in degrees centigrade).

Now - the real question is "How much energy is required to create a Radio Frequency field of sufficient magnitude to release hydrogen in water."

Although its not clear that this will be a new energy source, or merely interesting physics, the implications for the automobile, home heating, and natural gas industries could be huge - after all, why pipe a gas line to your home if you can get natural gas-like flames to your forced-air furnace from the tap?
